For the past few days I've had my new 995 mounted on my windshield just below the RVM. But today, on my way to class, I thought I'd try mounting it higher, and directly to the left of the RVM and turn off Ku band detection. The suction cups are at the bottom of the tint strip so the RD is just below the tint strip. I did this and looped the cord around the mirror so I have clear sight/access to the smart cord and I've already noticed a difference. When on my normal route, I always pick up one X band false (from across the river, I assume) and this morning I picked it up much earlier and held on to it for a lot longer.
Anyway, when I mount it like this, the RD is aimed slightly (and I mean slightly) to the left because my windshield is curved (duh). So my question is: does that affect sensitivity at all? It is perfectly level with the road, but slightly aimed towards the left.
