is beltronics V940 any good?
i think i can get it brand new for 100-130 dollars..

It's a nice mid level RD with the same detection capabilities as the other Bel Vector series RD's 955, 965 and 995, but it does lack features such as the ability to turn off radar bands. Bare bones RD with nice range.
in comparison to the x50..
what you you conclude about the v940? in terms of range?
I am not familiar with beltronics products and their capabilities. =/
but thx to rd.net i will know more soon ahah.

I would say the X50 is slightly better detectionwise. However, the X50 has much better features, spec, expert, etc...

I wouldn't want to be without the ability to turn off selected bands to avoid the "cry wolf effect" . You really do start to tune out, get slow, or waste time looking around to see/evaluate if it could be a real cop before slowing down.
If you can affordt he extra for a detector that lets you select bands, I think it's very well worth the extra money.
