My sister had been telling me that her V940 was alerting to POP alot and randomly. It got so bad once, she just turned it off. I told her to turn POP off. She said she couldn't. I figured she was just being...well...a girl.
Finally come down and took a look at it. Hit the power button, it said V940, POP ON, SWS ON. Pressed City and Brightness, it said Programming. Then the screen went blank, and it made a sound (I think it was the POP sound.) WTF?
I tried a system reset, and it would just start up normally. WTF?
I tried calling Belscort, but they aren't open today (M-F 8-6.) While I was doing that, my brother somehow was able to go in programming mode. Scrolling through, I got to the City option, and there was just a blank after it (instead of STD or ClX.) I continued to the band settings, and turned off POP and SWS. Let it sit there till it said complete.
Pushed the City button, and it changed from H to Cnx. Didn't pay much attention to that. Tried going into Programming mode again. Success. Went to the City option, and cycled through the options. This time it went from a blank space, to STD to Clx to STD to Clx. I let it complete. Cycled through city mode again, and now it only did Highway and CityLoX. It wasn't until then that I remembered that the V940 didn't have CityNoX. Hmmm...
So yea, now it seems to be working OK now, but time will tell.
As a side note, I just noticed that yesterday, it was in Voltage display. I actually have video of that. I'll try to post it up later.
