I can see how many might think it's an overreaction, but the old Bel 940 I owned was the "old school" Beltronics brand, before the merger with escort. Now I have to seriously question the quality from Belscort, in spite of all the great things I've heard.

    Maybe he was shooting LIDAR...
I'm sure it was RADAR as well, as LIDAR can't be used in PA...at least for now.

u go a dud, what more do you want us to say without giving us more details that brought you to the conclusion that it was ded.

    so whats next? Cobra? V1?

maybe a wistler would be a decent switch, but still isnt up to par with all the current bellscort models.

    my guess, u'll be back

A ticket alerted me (1 week old) my RX-65 was bad.I switched brands and feel more secure. Sure they repaired it (I paid shipping to get it there). And shyt does happen. But reading this Bel forum it seems to happen too often.[/b]

Sorry to hear that. And right now its looking like it may be V1 time for me as well. it was just scary that the detector gave me no "service required" message or even acted differently. it simply just stopped detecting one day.

Given the facts, i was pretty lucky...i made it from Cleveland, OH to Albany, NY without actually getting a ticket, but there were some close calls!

True but you are comparing apples to oranges....your RD sits INSIDE your car free from the elements......
