RX65's LATEST Firmware Version

Phiberglass: read the posts above, there is a RX65 with Ka narrow (4 ka sub-bands), it is called RX65e, firmware 6.4. It is available only in Europe, but the "regular" RX65 is also available here, so the only clue to tell them apart is the sticker on the box reading "Tuned exclusively for the European Union".

If you want details check Target (european distributor of Beltronics) website, but if you send them an e-mail don't expect an answer (I asked them a few things and they did't bother, I wrote to Beltronics directly, they also told me to contact Target, because they have no clue about the overseas models :shock: )

Evenmore, I bought two days ago an Rx65e (european) with ver. 6.5
Manufacturing date: week 22 of 2008
Seems to be the latest.

I guess some bugs from 6.4 needed to be eliminated

Somebody could read the software with a programmer (willem programmer, for example) and put it over the internet?
Maybe together we can realize what only Bell can: upgrading our RX65.

Don't think that will be happening, although there was a programmer from Europe who has shown 995s flashed with RX65 software. If someone else found a way to do it, they could also flash 940/955/965 since they all have the same hardware.

Newer doesn't always mean better. I have two Bel RX65 and the older one has a better antenna in my opinion. New firmware is used to fix glitches, ramp up issues etc. But it also maybe a way for the manufacture to reduce cost?

I managed to read the RX65 V3.6 and V6.4 software.
If somebody did the same thing I'll be glad to exchange software
