Latest UPDATE Re STi and STiR Rampup FIX

I just called as well and got an RMA#. The funny thing is, the last time I sent it in was for the audio ramp up that they said was fixed. The CSR stated that they never had an audio ramp up fix before and they installed the 33.8 fix the last time I sent it in. Strange considering my STi's manufacturing date was well beyond when they fixed the 33.8 bug. I also confirmed time and again while I was on the phone with the CSR last go around that they would apply the audio ramp up fix and he kept saying, "yes, I know exactly what you mean and it will be fixed". I did not get the warm and fuzzy this time at all. I asked if the firmware will be updated and he said, "no, just the audio ramp up".

So, it sounds like last time you reached a "YES" man, and this time you reached someone who knew enough to stick to the party line (not realizing that the ramp-up fix would necessarily mean firmware). I think Aaron and Dave are the best CSRs, although others may have a clue too. Anyway, if they just update every unit that comes in with the latest version, which I think will be the case, none of us should have anything to worry about this time (I hope).

Ok here we go again, just sent the STi via UPS to the motherland, hope it comes back with a audio ramp that works...I should have waited for someone to post the end results but I cant stand it any longer

Really I feel confident we are all gonna be alot happier with the new ramp-up.
Will it please everyone? Of course not, but I am betting on a real improvement .

OMG, I just rang Bel cust Service, the woman i spoke too had no idea of a ramp up fix, then transfered me to a message bank...so I still dont have a RA#

These people are unbeleivable...surely someone must know about this fix!
