I was just looking over at the gol test, and saw that the 965 beat the sti and the rx65, in 35.5, any thoughts on why, I mean not by alot, but it still beat them by a small portion.

That particular unit just happened to be hot on 35.5.
The BEL Vectors (V940, V955, V965, V995) and the RX-65 use the same platform/receiver, and should perform the same or very similar. The main differences between these detectors is features.

I also noted that this same V965 unit was weaker than the RX-65 in the K band around-the-curve test.

Jimbonzzz, this gets me to wondering. I know that the placement of the LO board containing the microstrip antenna is critical. I wonder if even a 1/2mm error in the placement of the LO board within the horn would affect performance such that one Ka frequency might perform slightly better whereas another Ka frequency would perform slightly less -- or perhaps K band performance might be very slightly better than average yet overall Ka band performance might be very slightly less? Just curious as to your thoughts.
