STI Performance dramatically Increases Out of the Blue

with my bel 955 i've noticed dramatic increases in performance for no conceivable reason at seemingly random times. it probably has something to do w/ the weather.

yea; as mem-tek pointed out humidity plays a MASSIVE role in how far radar travels...

weather doppler radar uses ~11ghz microwave energy because that frequency is absorbed the most by water 10.525 and 12.1250 are pretty close to that... same for ka band smaller wavelengths get absorbed easier too..

No its been the same for a while. Its deffinatly obvious that it has changed some how though, i thought this to be very wierd thats why I was asking if anybody else experienced this.

Today I had a crazy alert if its what I think it is. I was traveling on my local bridge and I got a k band alert for about 4 seconds, then went away. I never ended up seeing a cruiser, so I think i actually picked up a LEO running radar about 300 feet in front of me and 500 feet below me through concrete. Probably perpinduclar to me. The bridge is probably as high as the Golden gate.

But just because I didn't use it for 3 days all of a sudden it started doing better. I don't know how that could be but I had probably used it every day for several several months.
