I use a product called STUF to waterproof outdoor coax connections. I see no reason why it wouldn't work for what you guys are talking about. And no, I have no financial interest in any of these companies.

Are you serious? There is a way to remove the front antenna without having to pull the wires though the firewall? My installer sucks!

Trace the antenna cable and see if perhaps the installer simply slid the rubber firewall grommet up against the round barrel shaped inline connector. We need to ask djrams80 if his 9500ci antenna (one of the first ones produced) has this inline connector.

I am sending my STI-R (receiver and control box only) back to Bel today. I keep getting the "RECEIVER ERROR" Message and was told mine was one of the very first sold in the USA. I have had it since about the 2nd week in February. Apparently this issue is common with the early ones and mostly affected units sold outside the USA.

I took out the receiver unit yesterday and have this in-line connector as MEM-TEK said. I used the method he describes to seal that connector. I checked that connection a week after I received it and noted it contained a lot of moisture and does not seal all that well, so I would also recommend waterproofing and sealing the connection.

With the inline connector it took me about 2 minutes to get the unit off and disconnected. Control Box took another few minutes as the LPP shares the power with the STI-R.
