Default Is Bel working on an STix?

Belscort was able to port the feature from the STi to the 9500i of being concealed from current RDDs. Is there a possibility of working in the GPS/Truelock features of the 9500i/ix over to the STi?

I can appreciate the many corporate decisions that would need to go into such a venture such as:
  • The project development that would go into it as I assume that the current STi doesn't have GPS hardware.
  • The corporate direction of how they wish to align/market their products.
  • The financials involved of juggling different RD platforms vs consolidating.
Part of my desire for this is in the sizing of the case for the Bel products when mounting on the motorcycle. The longer Escort cases cover up some desired intrumentation while the shorter Beltronics case just barely fits. Knowing my luck, they're already working on it, but it's in a bigger case to fit the GPS hardware.

Plus, I'm kinda used to the voice telling me when the "Caveman" is nearby.

Hmmm...maybe the option for combining in an MP3 function and instead of "Caveman" the STix could play clips from Renegade, Come Sail Away, Show Me the Way, or Mr. Roboto.

If history is an indication, I would say no. It seems Belscort like to tailor models for each division differently.

The 9500i and 9500ix are NOT immune to current RDDs. The 9500ci, on the other hand, is. It, the STi-R, and the STi itself are the only three RDs that are 100% immune from my understanding.

That's my understanding too, just sloppy typing on my part.
