Still Stuck on Spec mode

Hello everyone. My 955 is STILL in spec mode and won't get out of it. It's been like this for 3 weeks now, and I lost my reciept :-(. Should I send it in and pay the cost to replace it? Help me out. Thanks.

plug in the unit and while off press and hold down power, city, brt. buttons all at once this should put it back into factory default settings.

If it won't respond to factory default setting then it probably needs to be serviced? Did you try calling beltronics? They are open from 8am - 6PM EST? Sorry I could help you any further. Did you fill out the warranty card or register on line? If you remember where you bought they may be able to get you a copy of the receipt?

Does it work otherwise? Also, does it work in spec mode too? I love spec mode, you send it back you will lose it.

i misspelled it. its the spec mode. It shows me the voltage and it works but it doesnt work like it did before. It will go off then I will see the cop 2seconds later. It gives me no time to slow down. luckily I have been driving slow. lol

Spec display shows the frequency of the radar source. Anyhow, this should have nothing to do with detection range.

The Bel 955 does not have spec mode. Only the Bel 995 and it has the tech mode for frequency mode. Spec mode is a term use for escort models and tech mode for Bel units.

ya im sure haha. Im into radars but i guess im not as hi tech as you guys are. should I get it serviced and pay the fee or get a new 1?

He has the 955 that has schizophrenia, it thinks it is a 995 lol. But I think there is a problem with it and needs to be sent in.
