On my way to work, PSL 45mph, im not late or anything its just a 4 lane, straight, smooth 2 way street in a kind of industrial area, just businesses and things, not really any houses so i'm cruising at a comfortable 56-57 mph, not flying but this road is straight and open with low traffic so its easy to do. I'm still a good 1/3 of a mile from the intersection that I need to make a right turn at. LASER... instantly pump the brakes down to 48 or 49 and coast the rest of the way down to 45. Dont see anything, dont see anything, im looking around, getting closer to the intersection, finally i see the local LEO off to the right in a knocked down hotel parking lot that sits on the corner of the intersecting roads. He's partially covered by a combination of shrubs, debris from the wrecked building, a telephone pole and a sign, but his window is down shooting laser up the road.
I'm calling it a save, but who knows, he could have gotten me and wanted a bigger fish, who knows, but i slowed down less then a second after it went off so if he took that long to get lock it might of saved my bacon.
About 20 minutes later I came back to the same intersection and on the other side of it (as if i had gone straight through it instead of turning right) about 250 ft up the road was the LEO with a customer. I felt for him but dang was I glad to have my 955 today.
