Default After my V1 recently stolen looking for a Bel

I recently had my V1 stolen out of my car, and cannot afford another $400+ right now. I was wondering if the V955 would be a great temporary replacement? Anything you guys don't like about this detector? Any experiences with saves?

I know it's not a V1 but it's performance seems to be darn good for the money.

    Thanks

They're a respectable radar detector. I had one before my STi, which was before my V1. It provided good awareness. Never got in trouble with it.

You will not go wrong with a 955.

I think it is a great RD. But why not save and suffer for a few weeks and get what you want. Unless you are a wanabe Bel lover. Why spend 200 on a RD that you really want to love. Just wait a few weeks, skip a few lunches and cokes and get what u know you want.

Can't go wrong with a Vector while you wait to replace your beloved V1. Or like they said, hold the cash until you have enough.

Makes no sense to pay 200 for the 995 when you could put that toward a new Valentine or a NEW 9500. The only reason is, you need a backup RD. Otherwise just wait till you can afford what you want. If you buy the backup then it just takes longer to get want you want.

The V955 is my personal favorite budget friendly RD.

Its great for its price, ive been using one in a KA only area for almost six months now, more big saves than I can count on my fingers.
