Laserpro 904 & RX 965 Pro

I had the 904 system installed on my vette yesterday, and by the chance of god my long time mechanic was able to have a friend who was a police officer come over with his Ultra Lyte laser system and check the system after installation.

I can't give exact distances, but a very good estimate would be 300-600 FT.
The officer was calling out my speed the whole time as if the system wasn't working yet in the car I was lit like a Christmas tree..

The 965 let me know when I was getting hit in the front as well as the 904 and in the rear the 904 let me know I was getting hit, but of course the detector did'nt pick it up.

The system I purchased on Craigslist for $105 brand new in the box and I still have the warranty card, plus a $150 install which truly looks aweosome. I just am wondering is the system useless or is it just to outdated for todays laser systems. i was even thinking if it's possible to use different heads on the system to make it up to date if Bel still makes any.

I know they discontinued making the 904-905 model, but on their website show the Escort ZR4 system which appears to use the same heads I have. If that won't work maybe a pair of Blinder heads..Any suggestions will greatly be appreciated from this rookie on jamming.

I had the 904 and the heads are different. the zr4 heads "which I have now". will not fit into the 904 control box. I believe you would be better off to go w/a blinder m25 setup. it's alittle better at jamming then the zr4. I have the zr4 and have great sucess at jamming, but Im blacked out, and I have laserveil/shield on my car, really stealthed out.

if you can afford it, the Laser interceptor is the best one out there. but it's alittle higher then the blinder or zr4 setup. but you get what you pay for.

The 904 is the same as the Escort ZR3s. It is a budget laser jammer system. With jammers, you get what you pay for. The 904 struggles against most guns and the Ultralyte is no exception. Adding Veil to your setup would probably help alot. Here are the latest GOL results. The 904 is comparable to the ZR4s. Also, beauty is not the goal for a laser jammer install. Effectiveness is. The jammer heads need to be completely unobstructed, perfectly straight and completely level. If that's what you meant by beautiful, than they are as good as they're going to get without some passive countermeasure help.

DJ I am almost certain the 904 is an older version of the ZR3. The Bels equiv. to the ZR3 was the LP905. The older 904 had a different setup, and and older LED display box, I would think the 904 might of had older software than the ZR3, but I am not 100% sure.

I know the hookup was diff. from the 904 to the zr4. I believe the fronts were tied into one plug on the 904. to where the zr4 had there own plug.

Correct the 904 had a splitter for the front heads, I think it is like a phone splitter.

u saw the GOL results with the latest laser jammer tests and since u have a vette why dont u equip it with a badass LI install...then get that leo to shoot u with his Ultralyte....he will be crying
