Real differences between V940, V955 & V965???

Currently CircuitCity has both the v955 & v965 for sale. I bought a v940 a little over a week ago and already have had a good experience with it detecting KA bands at a great range, one time it was well over 4 miles, I almost forgot by the time I crossed the LEO because I had it on mute. So all together I think for the price it's a fine piece of work.

I also see that in some of the test at "Guys of Lidar" the v940 did better than both the v955 and the v965. Can anyone please explain to me what the big difference will be and is it even worth the effort to go back and pay a restocking fee to get a v955 or v965???

As for performance they are all the same, the tests you read are production variances. Don't get the 965, it is more money and all you get is a case. The 955 is good if X band is not used in your area, since you can shut it off and it has autoscan.

I have a 955, and I if X band isn't used where you live I would recommend it, with x band on it will drive you crazy.

Even City LoX works great to filter out falses.

So far I found City LoX works just fine very little false X band alerts, my biggest false alerts are the K bands and Laser when the sun rays hit the RD early in the morning or late evening.

You got a good deal on 940, you made the right choice.

Yup, the 965 includes a travel case for the extra $50 price. But the 940 and the 955 are the bang for the buck leaders. Performance between the current Vector models are the same.

The 940 does not allow the user to turn off X band, but the 955/965 does.

performance wise they are all the same. just different features.
