Whats wrong with my v940

when i turned it on to day it displayed=c 14.1 v,and when ever i try to re program it it makes the IO x band sound.

Have you tried to reset the whole unit?


That seems like a Voltage display that some Belscort models above it do have... but I don't think that unit is supposed to have that feature (not sure about it though).


Try resetting the whole unit.

I just looked in the owners manual for mine and didnt see anything about a volt feature. (I have the old style v940) You should probably call cust service to see what they think it could be. Please post what you find out.

You are not the first to experience this. How old is the unit? I would do a reset, hold the the 2 programs buttons and at the same time hold the power button and it will also tell you the Rev number. Try that, sometimes the unit gets a little confused. If you are not getting a service required message you should be ok.

To reset your device:

Press and hold both City and Brightness then press the power button while the other two buttons are still depressed.

It will display the firmware revision number (post on here what your firmware is) then it will go through the usual startup
