    Default RX65 Hardwiring Question

I just received my new RX65 in the mail! I ordered the hardwire kit from Bel. Because I drive a 2004 F-150, I think I need to mount the radar detector as low as possible so as to not miss out on laser detection. I'll likely run the hardwire through the dash to the fuse box. How do I know which fuse slot in the fuse box to connect the hardwire? Is there a better place to wire to?

Excuse me for being ignorant, but what do you mean when you say you "tapped into the radio fuse in the panel"?

Use the possitive blade (+) of the radio fuse for the power by using something like this:

one FYI... make sure you use a multimeter to test the voltage coming through the wire to which you are 'tapping' AND be sure that the wire loses power once the car is off.

That picture was great. I'm going to print the picture, go to Radio Shack, tell them what I am doing, and hopefully they can point me in the right direction. The hardwire has a built in fuse to protect against surges. I'll just have to make sure the radar turns off. Thanks!

Where do I get that to connect the hardwire to the fuse blade?
