    Default brother got an STi-Driver

so over thanksgiving I was telling my brother he needed to upgrade his detector the STi-driver since he lives in NC and drives through VA a lot. so my brother's wife asked me before Christmas which detector it was that I told my brother to get because she wanted to get it for him for Christmas. he owns way to many cars for him to get a built in so I told her to get him the STi-driver.

he has been using detectors since the 70's and has had everything from remote systems, the original escort, the passport in the 80's, bel's in the 90's and now an STi.

yea I am sure he will. he has been running detectorless through VA for a few years now. but he will be able to travel anywhere now with a detector not just legal area's.

X3...I have had my STI for just a short while, but I love it. It soooooooo out performs my old 895. I got a 1/2 mile warning just last night on K band in the city, over a slight hill, and off axis by 90 degrees...I was pretty impressed.

Detectorless worries me. Make sure he doesn't panic brake to some IO. I would hate for him to get an ear full.

he had a detector he just didn't use it when driving through VA for obvious reasons. he travels from NC to Boston 6-8 times a year so having something he can use in VA is helpful.

he is 16 years older then me and is very experienced at speeding and is well versed at avoiding getting tickets. in my younger years he taught me a lot about how to avoid getting caught...

he doesn't stay on top of the latest and greatest stuff as he used to, so I just let him know there was something out now that would give him a littler bit more of an edge.

I have run my old detector (bel895) in VA for almost 4 years and never got caught with it! I didn't get the STI for the stealth, although that is a nice benefit! I got it cause it was a great detector!

+1000 on the STI-Driver. I've had mine for less than 1 year and about 30,000 miles and have quite a few real saves, including laser.
