    Default STi laser alert

Question: When you get hit with laser with the STi, does it alert you for the duration of the laser contact? Or does it stay on for an X amount of time regardless of whether the laser hit you briefly or constantly hitting you.....

The laser alert lasts for about 7 or 8 seconds after the laser is no longer present.

Which is probably 5-6 seconds longer than when he got your speed...

In this video I am basically driving through a fixed spotlight of laser.

Although the vid is cut a little short you will hear the STI driver alert for 6 seconds, after that it settled down to a couple more blips so yeah, about 8 seconds in total for one contact I'm guessing.

What the hell? My STi went on a constant solid 7-8 second alert, as opposed to segmented blips as shown here. No pauses, or change in tone.

^^^x2. My belscorts act the same way for a laser hit. The V1 is the only one that alerts close to the duration of the actual hit.

Depending how long the laser shot is, you can more or less tell when they stopped shooting by listening when the alert starts ramping down. This is assuming the laser shot last longer than the initial "cycle" of the laser tone.

Don't know if that made sense...

I got myfirst Lazer alert on the STI, but it was a false.

I was in the mddle of No where in the boonies, on my motorcycle. Lazer with off constant wild noise and said lazer alert. You talk about Hammering da Brakes>G

I was heading up hill into sunlight, must have been the way it went through my MC winshield.

Atleast I know it might work , but Lazer is not much threat in my riding area , just k and ka, and instant on.

I fiqured a positive way to look at instant on, until they pull the trigger they have no advantage , its how quick you can shut it down, before they pull that trigger.

Hard to do in a vehicle but , I've done it on the Bike

But so far the STI has given me enough distant message to atleast be hesitant , and kept me out of those ( on top of me close combat situations).

But I still look for it to happen
