Hi, I have an STi Driver I use between two vehicles. One is a car, the other a Crossover. The car came with a factory "tint" strip across the top of the windshield, not dark at all. The crossover didn't. I added a tint strip to both vehicles as I have the RD mounted high and I want to keep it out of Police view (not allowed where I am) The tint strip I added is 23%. Now I notice when I drive the car, the STi Driver alerts, slow and consistent in certain areas. This is usually X or K band alerts to stores with alarms. When I put the same STi in the crossover, the alerts are more intense and last a little longer. Any ideas on why the difference between the two vehicles? The only thing I can think is because of the second tint shade in the car. Like I said, I only added it because I wanted to darken up that area of the windshield. Both tint strips are non-metallic. The crossover vehicle didn't have a factory tint strip when I bought it.
