    Default Bel gx 65 ?

I haven't read or heard anything on the GX65. I'm sorry, I did read about it on Radar Roy. He gave it a pretty good review. So is he the only one that likes it. All you read about anymore is the: V1, IX, STI, STI-R, and the CI. Is the GX a notch below these rd's.

I think most people go with the 9500ix, for a extra $40 you get autolearn and a blue display.

I bought my GX65 two weeks ago from Amazon when it was listed $399 with free shipping. Escort 9500ix is priced at least $50 more.

I am not sure I can trust the AutoLearn feature. It's easy to mark a location with GX65. There is a location half way from my work that triggered an X band warning several times. I simply pressed the Vol/Mute button twice to mark that location. No more X band at that location.

I struggled between the blue and red color. If there is a color choice, I might go with blue as it appears "cool". But red color may be more appropriate as a warning color and that is what RD is for.

I cannot comment more about GX65 features yet as I am still trying to get myself familiar with. The first time I powered it up in my car and went to on highway, a local police car joined the traffic with Ka band constant on. My GX65 was screaming all the way for about 5 miles until the police car left. So far I enjoy it.

I believe the autolearn feature is manually done, is this correct. On the ix it is done automatically. On the ix, I have read where sometimes it blocks out real radar threats. Does the GX do this.

I agree with Hills2. I have a gx65 for 4 mos now. I Like the red- my preference. Its like the 8500 x50 before. The false alerts are very easy to lock out too. Its now very quite and seems to pick up Ka band very well- used here in Delaware.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing some performance comparisons between the GX-65 and other top-tier detectors. More than a few people have serious concerns about AutoLearn, so if the 65 otherwise performs as well as the 9500, I'd have to say the 65 is an excellent option.

I will post my observation of GX-65 performance after I have enough interactions with my unit. I have no access to Escort 9500ix.

I am also interested in a real comparison of BEL GX-65 and Escort 9500ix. Could somebody who has access to both help us?

I am very interested in seeing the results. Because at one time I was thinking about purchasing a GX-65.
