Default Technical Discution - Improve laser capability of RX65

Rx65 is so bad to detect laser radar like Ultralyte (i try it ) so how to improve laser capability of RX65?

    - Modify lens?
    - add mirror?
    - Modify firmware?
    - Remove black class in the front of RX65?

If you have any idea to improve laser capability of RX65 plz post here.

I tried removing the lense and the mesh in front of the sensors, and as per my testing with Jimbonzzz's laser activator, neither had any positive effect.

In our GOL tests, the RX-65's detection was probably as good as the X50 when the unit was mounted tipped down toward the road slightly (I think that was the way it was tipped).

Though mounting might improve it slightly, you just can't depend on either of them to alert you every time you are targeted. You would need a V1 for that, or a jammer.

Mounting a mirror or big lens like the picture cannot improve it like V1?? I think RX 65 and V1 have same laser sensor but the case of the v1 is finished better.

    sorry for my bad english.

What you showed in the pictures really seems pretty logical. I don't understand why they haven't done that already. Whistler does something similar to that.

A good cop with a laser gun can get a vehicle's speed without alerting a radar detector if he can hold it real steady or aim real low. (fog light area) Especially if he has a tripod. Even a V1 will not always alert to a hit.

You might be inclined to think that the detectors have to be hit directly with the beam from the laser gun to cause an alert, but that isn't necessarily the case. In the jammertests.com video with both the LZ1 and Laser Atlanta, you can actually see where the beam is hitting, and both detectors alerted even when the beam wasn't right on them:

I know what your trying to say but what I am saying is that radar detectors including the V1 have a limited amount of vision, that on some vehicles it wont be able to see the laser if your being targeted because of the large amount of distance between the V1 and the very bottom of your car that may be shiny.

I don't know how you feel you have the right to correct Dr. Jim. How much experience do you have with testing? That's like me telling our felony judges how to do their job because I am a parole officer.

Is it possible to overclock the laser sensor of the RX65 by modifying a potentiomettre for example? like overcloking a processor of PC.

sorry for my bad english... ops:
