    Default SelfCal2 Service Required

I have contacted Service Support on this error for my Rx65. They have told me that a Reset on SelfCals is not good enough.
This only clears the ROM of the failures and if it shows up again there is defiantly a problem with the radar detector.
SelfCal2 is a problem with one of the bands not calibrating correctly.
The radar detector will try to self calibrate on startup and review the calibration every few mins because of heat generation from the unit causes a shift in Calibration if it can't correct the shift bingo you get the SelfCal2 error.

This is what happened to me. (After a reset)
It would pass the initial testing on boot then a few mins later it would prompt me SelfCal2 Service Required and chirp at me. After it had done it once it will immediately tell you of the SelfCal2 error on boot.

    Firmware version is 3.2
    Very early model.

That seems to be a common problem with BEL detectors. I had mine 2 days when I started getting problem messages. :x

Sent in for service... Returned with fixed receiver, retuned receiver and updated firmware version 4.5. Noticed one thing between firmware 3.2 and 4.5 increased receiving radar currently tested(X band it increased 200+ feet?). I have yet to test K or Ka Band.

I too noticed that my X sensitivity is a little higher with 4.5 than 3.2. I used to run city std mode, and the door openers at walgreens would never break the threshold, now they do it about 1 out of every 10 times.

I have noticed also that Autoscan which I normally run on is filtering out more false positives it is now so quiet I am wondering if it still works. The only thing else I have noticed is K band is slightly better at passing the Autoscan threshold which adds about 50 feet or so. POP is cleaned up much better with firmware 4.5. I would always get POP from other radar detectors on my way to and from work up 35W in MN. I ran it for 2 days no POP alerts so far of course I use Ka International mode which is really not needed here we only have a few photo radar locations and they are all static. I have not tried using USA mode to see if it falses more this will be something I will test later.
