    Default Bel RX65 False Alerts

Im getting normal X band false alerts on a busy street with many stores, restuarants, gas stations, etc... But Im getting K band falses too. I drove by a Toys R us and K band was going nuts from the automatic doors? I thought X band was from that?

Door openers pollute both the X and K bands. Older ones tend to be on X, and newer ones are usually on K.

K band is great for alerting you to CVS, Rite Aid, and any other of your local drug stores too At least K doesnt false as much as X though.

an automatic car wash was recently build along side a highway I travel on the way home. I now get a K1 alert for about a 1/2 mile (no kidding) I want to hit the door opener with a bat or something. It's so frustrating. Escpecially since it is on the edge of a town where the local cops are always setting traps.

That's the difference when you don't have the ability to know multi radar sources like the V1 and the X50 in expert mode. It's just something that you have to learn by experience and know where false alerts occur.

lucky for me in HK, i can turn off K band coz its only used in one location in the whole country, so i know wher it is. Therefore i almost NEVER get any falses even in the city.

oh now nice that would be... i wish i could find the person who put door openers and burglar systems on the k and x frequencies and thank him quite sarcastically with my baseball bat . just kidding. but seriously, it gets soo anoying. i wish i had a v1 where i could program it to not alert untill k gets to 3 lights or something in the city

The RX65 does have multiple radar source ability. It's called the Threat Display.

It's not a true count though....it only shows you 1X, 1K, and 1KA. Where escort and WONDERFUL V1 tells you 2K, 2KA etc

I wonder if 2 K alerts would show up in that mode if they were the same signal strength and exact frequency (24.150)...
