    Thanks for your thoughts...

Not much of an upgrade in detection abilities, if any. In order to see a significant increase in detection, you'd have to get to the 9500ix, V1, STi, RedLine level.
This question is for everyone, please feel free to pipe in... What range could i be looking at if i make the upgrade to either a 9500ix, V1, STi, RedLine? lol, sorry for starting a new thread itchy fingers you know :P

There is no numerical answer to your question. The range of any RD is affected by many factors such as road topography (hills, straight road, etc), radar band being used (X, K, Ka band), frequency of the band (Ka 34.7, 33.8, 35.5), and whether the police radar is C/O or I/O. However, getting a V1, 9500ix, ci, or redline, would be a significant improvement to the Bel 955.

    Range is only one factor.

X2 Unless you drive in an area where RDs are illegal, I would recommend another RD besides the STi.

Is that because of the higher quality RD, the STi is at the bottom?

No because why spend $500 on a RD that is immune to RDs if you live in an area where RDs are legal? You could could use that money to get a a V1 ($400) that has the arrows or a9500ix with GPS features.

Djrams80 is very knowledgable when it comes to police countermeasures. However, you should also consult with other experts and get an opinion from them as well.

Have you tried the manufacturer's website?!? Google: Valentine One

Note: No posting links to non-radarbusters sites that are selling RDs. That is a forum rule.
