Default Best programming for an STI-R?

I know I've seen this somewhere before, but after searching for the last fifteen minutes I have no results to speak of. What is the optimal programming (IE; setting different modes on/off) on the STI-R, like on this picture?

    Thanks!

Any other tips/tricks to make it a little more accurate/effective?

I have segments 2 (33.800 + or - 0.096), 5 (34.700 + or - 0.108), and 8 (35.500 + or - 0.122) on all others off. which covers the regular frequencies. I have not ran into a cop yet where my V1 has alerted and the STi-R be silent. You should also enable segment 6 because their are a couple of guns that are on 34.9 out their from what other forum members have said. I have not ran into one yet, but if I do my other detector will pick it up. I would also turn off RDR it helps out a lot as far as range goes.

I run with KaSW on since at one of our last tests the radar gun we were using got missed completely by the STi-R when running segments 2,5,8 only. The gun was slightly out of tune and it had been calibrated in the last 6 months, so I figured if it was out, good chance a LEO's might be too!!

Yeah, I don't own an Sti-R but I have seen a couple of funky freque's on my Sti Driver that I'm damn sure weren't falses so I'd be careful disabling stuff.

Most Ka where I'm at is 34.9 I dunno about Canada.

    From the Owner's Manual:

    Manual Correction

Please be advised on pages 2 and 11 under the band programming section, KA-band segment 7 should read:

    "35.143 -35.383"

With this in mind I have chosen to deactivate segment 7 as it does not conain 34.7 as indicated on the page you scanned.

    I leave KA2(33.704-33.896)/KA3 (33.886 - 34.198) on for 33.8 KA, KA5(34.592 - 34.808) and KA6(34.806 - 35.166) on for 34.7 KA as there may be frequency drift so I leave KA6 on, and KA8(35.378 - 35.618) and KA9(35.595 - 35.835) for 35.5 KA. So in simple terms:

    KA2, KA3, KA5, KA6, KA8, and KA9 should be left on, all others off.

To improve performance even more, turn RDR off.

Run in highway mode for maximum sensitivity.

I just got my STi-R today and intend to run segments 2,5, and 8. But I also intend to run it in tandem with my V1.

If it were my only RD, I would run the R in SW.

I also want to run RDR off, so I hope that only running 3 segments will take care of falsing from other RD's.

    Anyone have experience with this?

I run the same setup, STi-R with 2,5,8 on and RDR off(a must) and a V1 with KA guard and X off. A big frequency that my STi-R falses on is 33.7-8 (V1 doesn't alert to it), but I think there is a gun out there that uses this frequency, so I don't mess with it. Anything that the STi-R misses (would be very rare to encounter a KA not in 2,5 or 8) the V1 will pick up. You can drive comfortably with that setup, trust me.

I have 3.864. I tried Ka guard off once.... and didn't get 3 miles from home before my V1 falsed on Ka. But I am willing to try the R with RDR off because of segmentation.

Understandable, before you take a long highway trip, KA guard off might be a good option.

With RDR off, I get way too many 33.692 falses (and others in the 33.7 range). Traffic is quite heavy around here and there are lots of cobras.

Since my main threat is stalker, I just leave 5&6 on and nothing else unless I travel to an area where 35.5 is used. I let the Sti handle the 33.8 and this seems to have eliminated the vast majority of my falses with RDR off. The V1 w/Sti-R is a better combo, but I need stealth.
