Just got pulled over this morning by a motorcycle cop. He said I was speeding. Tinted window and he saw my Sti Driver mounted. He can't proof my speed from his laser gun I guess he wasn't using it. He probably judge my speed by his eyes. Otherwise my Sti Driver would have trigger the alarm right?

RDs don't consistently alert to laser, because the LEO aims the laser at your front plate or headlights, and your RD is up on your windshield, and the beam is narrow, especially at close range.

So it's possible to get a laser ticket and have your RD not go off. Some newer guns like the LTI TruSpeed have an even narrower beam, making it even harder for a windshield-mounted RD to detect.

The V1 is the most sensitive RD to laser, but even if it does go off, chances are they have your speed already even before you've had a chance to react.

The only real defense against laser is a laser jammer. They're illegal in CA but so is speeding, and you're less likely to be caught using a jammer if you're smart about it.

My Sti has alerted me to laser when i am directly and ever laser scatter believe it or not...but even if u do get the alert ur already dead...a v1 is the best BY FAR when it comes to detecting laser but the only true defense is to get jammers

Yes, I know jammer is the way to go but if I get pull over, will the cop question me about "do I have a jammer in the car"? can they take a detail look or ?

By reading that ticket, he does not have radar or laser circled? As for speed he has 55 plus?

If he estimated speed then nothing would of saved you or gone off, did you ask him what he used?
