    Default STi-R Install

I recently purchased a Bel STi-R for my C6 Vette. Has anyone installed a remote RD in a C6?
1- Is there a prefered way to route the wiring?
2- I would like to mount the display heads in the ash tray, has anyone done this?
3- I suspect the pickup head would be mounted just left of center in the grill area.
(in case I am forced to run a front plate)
4- Any suggestions for rear protection?
5- Does anyone have expierence with a Lift-n-Hide from A-Bond?

I don't know the Vette specific answers.

Whatever you do, do not mount the antenna behind any grille. Mount it fairly straight, fairly level and with a clear view of the road.

The Bel STi-R is crazy sensitive and will detect radar that originates form the rear of the vehicle quite well.

I'm not sure why you would you use this for a radar detector. They are legal in Wisconsin.

It is good to know that it will pick up radar from the rear.
The reason I need to be able to hide it is because I drive in Ontario.

check out my install on my 300:

not a Vett but similar install as you want to do. you do not need the A-bond. if installed right it is impossible to see. I have driven this car in Canada with no issues.

not sure where you are in WI but I am in northern IL if you need more help.
