Looks like it will also help keep the detector out of direct sunlight for a cooler summer.

I ordered one; it reminds me of the suction cup for the Garmin GPS units, and that one works well for my wife in her van.
Winter is the deal breaker for me; if the super cup works, bonus; if not, I'm going to send it back. The old suction cups always had difficulty in the extreme winter temps. I hope this one does the trick!

Seriously, it looks like a good idea for cars and trucks with more slanted windshields.

I was thinking of the reverse case also - those sweltering summer days of 100+ and inside of the car way beyond that. Anyway, this looks to be a big improvement for making a 'steady' platform for RDs.

I'm getting this for the Redline. I'm using the regular suction cup mount but the Redline is heavier than the RX65 and bounces up and down too much. Hopefully this works better.

Just make sure the mount and the WS are reasonably warm before mounting. While we do not get the winter temps that are prevalent in the rest of the US I mounted mine on a very cold for me (25deg F) WS that had the defroster on it for about 5 minutes.
No problems what so ever.
Just make sure the WS is clean and the mount is warm so the cup is flexible.
