Default What is GPS, and how can it help?

    Is it global positioning system.

Why does it do to help in a RD?

Sorry, I am very new to this.

I have read reviews, on V1 Vs. Bel 65RX.

I can't recall ever reading about GPS.

    Thanks!!

Go to the Radarbusters website and read about the GPS feature. I can't post links on here, yet. Bel GX65

GPS allows your detector to alert to known speedtrap locations without relying on radar/laser hits. It also lets you lock out known FALSE alerts, such as door openers at walmart / Wal-greens, etc.. that are going to annoy the pi$$ out of you. It's location based awareness, that's the benefit of having GPS in your detector.

GPS helps with alerts against red light and speed detector cameras based on your car location and the database uploaded to the RD.
