true, true. The hardware changes especially the X and K/Ka LNAs, could all be providing that 12 inch Spectre detect range that Roy spoke of.
Bel may have designed for invisibility in lieu of greater sensitivity. As for falsing that is problematical, I hate falsing.
If the real world sensitivity matches the X50, well that's good enough for me, what else do you really need ?

Since you posted that you received your STi on December 23, that's quite a short "month" of commuting experience, especially with a couple holidays included! You've previously said "no falses" and "falses a bit more than the X50." Have you changed your mind, and are you now using your X50 instead because you like it more?

Wow that would be a HUGE dissapointment if STI is a letdown. We shall see end of this month what it is made of. Since you have a retail unit would you mind sending it to GOL for testing?
RIP Duncan my BELOVED black lab son 8/7/99-3/23/11. I will miss you DEARLY.

Letting GOL guys have a retail unit would really be the nuts. Csteph you can trust these guys with your goods without doubt. I sent Jim an Escort DSP for checking (probably not the one going to be used in GOL) but you wont have to worry trusting them and it would really be nice to see how one out of retail distribution tests.

well, some others have said if the STi has the same performance as the X50, but is Spectre immune, then that is good enough. So maybe Bel listened, and made the STi on-par with the X50 (as it is "good enough") since people would buy it anyway without better performance.

I still use the STi. Trying to change the settings so that i don't get so many falses. When i drive with City NoX and POP OFF i get very little falses. But i'm sure most of us would rather not use those settings.

Hopefully this is the flip side of increased sensitivity. Just wish we could get some reports on laser sensitivity
