    Default STI wish list

If only the STI had the arrows and Ku band, I would buy it.

Cause you need Ku in america when there isn't even a gun produces that uses Ku????? Also Ku is as easy to detect as X-band. Law enforcement doesn't want bands that are easily detected.

The STi is for those that need a spectre proof detector Canda has not plans on buying Ku just more spectre.

If Ku comes into play I will start laughing very hard...You should be more worried about spectre and POP

Either a Priority Scanning (like POP but on photo radar frequency)... or self selectable frequencies.

    I've siad it before.

IF the STI is as good as my 985 and is Spectre Invisible I would be happy, anything beyond that would be a bonus.

What I am really wishing for is some HONEST independent testing that will finally determine if has in fact beaten the Spectre and is a long term solution.

I really don't doubt for a second that the STI as it sits is indeed undetectable by all Spectres, and indeed any RDD currently patrolling roads globally.

Will this be the same case in say, 2010. Now there is the question.

Realistically, a manufacturer can only assure that it can defeat CURRENT threats.

The detector manufacturers can say they detect all radars NOW, but if in 2008 the FCC approves a new band (ie. Ka2 or something that becomes supersuperwideband) then obviously current detectors won't detect it. Would you still hold the detector manufacturers responsible?

I would assume the same goes for RDDs... they can assure it defeats all CURRENT ones, but if they come out with something new down the road (ie. instead of detecting leakage it detects something else...), well, it may or may NOT work.

But you're going to get good usage in the mean time out of it anyway, so I'd say go for it. In 2-3 years or so later, new detectors will be released, most probably having better range, etc. so around that time I'd buy a new one anyway. Its a cat and mouse game, as we all know.

I'd agree with the above but given the history here and Bel's claim about defeating future RDDs they've opened this line of questioning themselves.
