Default Calling out any VIRGINIA STi(R) users

Since the STi and STiR are the 2 radar detectors that i'm looking at, I'd love for my fellow native Virginians to give testimony about their detectors. How are you guys liking it for use in VA?

    STi-R = Awsomeness
Invisible to RDDs, Invisible to most cops prying eyes

for a windshield mount I'd look at the redline instead of the STi (the redline is RDD immune as well)

Everyone keeps saying "redline" and the research shows it's good. I'm looking into it now. Thanks!

If I lived in Virginia and drove the same car most of the time a remote would be the only option...

I live in VA, have a Sti - don't use it often, it's more likely to be used on road trips. I have an SUV so a high mount would be somewhat visible from the side. I wish I could trade it + $100 for an STi-R, even with the limitations of mounting the receiver that low.

I'm considering a visor mount, but my visor, when up all the way, tilts so that the detector would point down. And it would be annoying to keep the visor partway down to make it flat.

On my last trip through VA the 9500ci worked magnificently. If I lived there i would only have a remote mount with a backup STi or Redline in case I ever had to drive another car for any reason.

I/O is almost non existent because RD's are illegal so the one weakness of the Bel/Escort family is nullified.
