    Default stir misses QT

2 lane blacktop, the oncoming lane was a double passing lane. I noticed a line of cars approaching and thought it was strange that none of them were trying to "break out" Figured two of those headlights must belong to a LEO so I slowed down to mid sixties in a 55.

The middle car was GSP and hit me with QT. The V1 gave about 2 braps and the sti was silent

He turned around behind me (I don't think it had anything to do with me. He was just working that road on a Friday night) and continued to shoot QT and the sti remained silent.

I don't run into much QT so I figure this guy must just be a hot shot trooper.

Still love the sti! It usually beats the V1 on Ka...

Good eyes and situational awareness on your part. Most people would be toast. I always scan both side of the roads and look for "odd" driving behaviors, usually means the man is around. Gotta love the V1 for QT accuracy. I do wonder if Bel/Escort will ever address the problem.

Thanks for the info, GA will be my new home next weekend. At least I know to lookout for Q/T. I really like my Escort RD's better, but stuff like this makes me want to run with my V1 more and more. I wish I could run the Redline and V1 together without a issue.

would the warning from the V1 had been in time to save you?
Also what kind of gsp car was it? I've experienced a gsp Tahoe running what I would consider to be quick trigger, not that my escort alerted to it

Of course its hard to say how much QT I've run into in Ga, seeing as how if they are using it I wouldn't know it most of the time.

What settings are you running. I segment mine, (2,5,8) and it picks up QT more often than not.

That's the problem,it's hard to tell if they are interfering with each other. I just don't trust two RD's running at the same time. I am afraid it will cause them to miss a alert. But I have tried it a few times and I didn't notice any issues.

The issue will be the V1 interfering with the Redline. If they are at an ok distance from each other it may be ok.
Hopefully ill get a Redline to test soon.

Veil Guy tests a few RD's simultaneously. He has been told that it is ok to do this
