Just picked up a V995 S7

I have owned m4 995's but have always wanted to try a S7 platform. So far it is hotter on k-band than my m4 995 unit was. I am also seeing better off axis performance on k-band also. So far have not had any ka band encounters. Any one else still using a S7 995?

I used to have an S7 940 that would hang with my V1.8 and STi. It was unbelievable.

yea, I've got a rev. 2.6. I think it is a very early S7. Definitely one of the better ones to come down the pike. The only real gripe about it is the "bizarre" ramp up. The STi is my everyday driver, (no pun intended) but I use the 995 occasionally.

Yeah, I have an old V895 (Same as a 955... or your 995 minus a few features if I remember correctly... just was for sale at RS), that thing is a blazing beast on over-the-hill encounters. I think it is literally Rev-1.0 My dad uses it in his cars so he can leave the X50 on the bike, and I'd have to steal it back to confirm this.



It really is a night and day difference... think of it... you have a unit that is probably 5 years old, and it eats alive the BRAND NEW M4 JUNK Belscort is throwing out there...

Still have my v940 S7 and it's great!!! I don't use it often but the range/ and off axis is awsome!!!!!.

Took a drive this morning and didn't find any ka, but several runs against my local k-band speed signs and I can already tell this unit is hotter than my 3.872 on and off axis on k-band. My 3.872 is no slouch on k-band, but this S7 is hotter. Cant wait to find some ka encounters. Should do well against q/t also according to this

I have an S7 and M4, both perform well but would have to give the edge to the S7 as well. The S7 seems to false more but out on the highway that thing is hot!

I got some q/t hits on 34.7 from my local bike cop yesterday, do not know how many I missed since he was pulling over a victim as I got to him and I never actually saw him pulling the trigger, but I picked him up well in advance. I had a nice 35.5 alert over a monster hill today , Leo 2nd in line at the base of a big hill waiting at the light, I picked him up .50 miles from his location, well before the crest of the hill. I am impressed so far .
