Software version 2.9

I just bought an RX65 with version 2.9 I've never heard of this version being out there. Should I be concerned?

I've never heard of that either. Where did you buy it? Mine was an early one and it was a 3.2.

I believe 4.6 is the latest firmware. What the FCC ID on your unit?

well if u got it off ebay, send it into beltronics pay the $85 and it'll be like u payed the regular price! lol! I dont know what to tell you. When u bought was it said to be new?

Sorry. You got ripped off. When you buy Bel detectors off ebay, you're getting either seconds or reconditioned items. See if the person you got it from will take it back, because 2.9 is going to false like mad on POP. Otherwise, Bel might bring it up to 4.5 for $85.

Drive it for a while before you pay money for an upgrade. If it works then be glad, save your upgrade dollars and enjoy.

The only one way you will find out if you should be concerned is to send it to GOL for performance testing, added benefit you can see exactly how good or bad your detector ranks against other detectors, in doing so, you will never have any doubt about you detector. It would be interesting to see what performance your 2.9 software has, matched up against the other versions, newer versions are not always better.
