Thread: Ebay Bel RX65's

    Default Ebay Bel RX65's

I've been looking at getting a new Bel RX65 from one of the Ebay sellers. Should I ask about the date of Mfg. or firmware/software version or is this something not to worry about. From going to the Bel site they don't like internet sellers do they.

    Thanks
    Tom

Its probably better to get these from roy, especially with all the problems the Rx65 users have had with various firmwares.

That being said, if you must use ebay, there is nothing wrong with asking questions of a seller. It might help if you tell them how to determine the firmware version in your email to them, and where to look for manufacture date/serial#

Yeah stay away from Ebay if you want an RX65 or X50. A lot of people have had to use their waranty and Roy is the best person to buy since he stands behind his products 100%

FYI I bought a ebay RX 65, I sold it. I don't know if it was because it was from Ebay or what but it was a huge dissapointment. :x I also got a service required message 3 days after I opened it. No warranty....

Do not buy detectors on eBay. You may get a refurbed unit, you may get a damaged unit, you may get the shell of an RX65 but the guts of a cheaper detector, you may even get one that just doesn't work, and NO detector seller or eBay will give you a refund. They'll just replace it with another unit, probably also refurbed or otherwise messed up. Many will demand that you leave positive feedback before they fix the problem so that when they don't and you report them to eBay, they can say "but he left me positive feedback!"

    Buy it from Roy.

Well i do agree that a good amount of electronics on Ebay, do NOT come from legitamate Vendors. But i did buy my X50 from a Ebay vendor, He stated the unit was Brand New, NOT refurbished, (of course, he could be lying) But ive had it for over 1 1/2 now, with no issues at all.
