STI-R no detections.

Hi, maybe someone here has an idea.

I have just installed an STI-R in my car and I can turn it ON and OFF without any problem, I can go through all the setting too. But I drove to a home depot with my friend that has an STI-R also and I couldn't detect anything and his was going nuts. It was an X band.

Since I installed the unit it has not detected 1 single thing and I reseted it to its factory settings and still nothing...

Can anyone help me?

Where is your reciever? Is it blocked behind something? Did you have sound on the warm up? Did you check Xband on /off? Pics of set up would help. Where did you purchase?

Are you on A, H, C, or C no X mode? If you are in No X mode that may explain the X band reception. Do you have any K or Ka band sources to test against?

Have you checked to make sure all bands are turned on?

yes everything is on default settings, i made sure they were all on by reseting the sti-r to its factory settings.

Sounds like you have a bad unit. Install and settings should be fine from what i see.

Have you checked to make sure the antenna cable has not become disconnected???
