Yup... I dont understand but im sure there is a reason; im just not for sure what it is. However as my dad always says follow the money. I think Escort worried about cannibalizing the sales of the 9500ci since the STIR Plus performs better becuz of the band segmentation feature. Just a plausible theory of mine...

What the hell would be the point though, just the added GPS feature and the fact that it supports shifters LAME. Since 2008 we've been b1tching that we don't want shifters but do want GPS and band segmentation. GPS only + optional shifters is just retarded. They'll probably come out with a 9500ci PLUS w/ band seg just to jack up the price.
