Thumbs up Return of the King?

The old STi-R came and went before most of us realized it's true capabilities. The introduction of the 9500ci with it's GPS functions totally eclipsed those little extras hidden in the STi-R that made it the superior performer.

Well, now we should know better. The STi-R Plus returns with Band Segmentation and RDR (confirmed by Escort) and GPS capabilities to boot! Those same features activated in the STi-R smoked a V1 in a Ka-Band Quick Trigger test, and outdetected a 9500ci by a considerable margin in range.

If I remember correctly, the old STi-R also had very good Ka Ramp up.[replacer_img]

Only testing will tell, but the combinations of features on this bad boy should yield........
    1. Longest Detection range on X, K, and in particular Ka.
    2. Quickest reaction times to Instant On (QT)
    3. Fewer Falses on X & K (compliments of GPS & TSR) and Ka (Cobras locked out with Band Seg 1)
    4. RedLight / Speed camera alerts
Provided the features in the 'Plus' hold true to the old STi-R, and the new GPS functions do nothing to conteract the same, I say welcome back to the King.[replacer_img]

And a big FAT price tag.(no I only had to say that because my username is v1user)

I actually can't wait. Disregarding the price, it's pretty close to perfection. Needs just one more feature.

BTW, from the title I thought this thread was going to be about Burger King.

    Yup... http://www.radardetector.net/forums/...available.html

When is it available... and what is the price tag (besides high) are the key factors here.

Considering Whistler has taken a long time to put out the 3600, I might be on the verge of skipping that and saving up for a few more months to buy the legend itself.

Best reaction times/QT performance for a belscort. When I tested my STi-R and V1 with CFR. The V1 was better. (But the R wasn't that far behind)

If it lives up to all of those expectations, it would very quickly become my second choice. But even twice the range of a V1 couldn't make me give up the arrows. No way. Especially at three times the cost.
