    Default STI Delay

Well we're looking at another 2 more week delay for the Sti. I guess Roy encountered "numerous" Ka falses on the way up to GOL and met with the software engineers at Bel for a software fix. Geez I feel just like a V1 owner. (Version 1.xxx)

But this kind of begs the question do they not test these things out the road in real world conditions?? Maybe mfg them in Canada where there arrnt alot of RDs on the road contributed to them overlooking this issue?

Or maybe Bel just does "suck" as many of their past customers have pointed out?

Time will tell. But in the age of the internet and the mighty RadarDetector.NET and GOL whoa to the company that puts out junk cuz everybody will hear about it.

Rant off you may now return to your regular browsing.

Thx Roy for helping get this thing sorted out

    What?

The STI has been in a pretty long "gestation" period while we've been waiting, when was it supposed to debut, July? And at CES 2005 before that...

Anyway I can't think otherwise that a large proportion of people at Bel have been driving around with the unit...

I am confused......if it's software issue what does it matter how many Roy has?

And if there is a falsing problem, What does this mean for all the STi's already distributed, such as that first shipment that is already being sold in Australia?

Need to wait for testing results and hear others experiances I guess. Hopefully there will be no problems.

Im sure it is related to the sensitivity of the unit...Bel claim it is alot more sensitive than the RX65....but they also claim it has better filtering too....time will tell
