Default STiR PLUS Detector Tools problem - USB device not recognized

Hi all, I'm having a strange issue with STi-R PLUS. Based on my observation it started with serial numbers 1000+. Each time I try to connect the detector to my computer windows 7 shows this warning (pls see attached):

It still does work well with devices with serial numbers below 1000. Any idea what to do? Reinstalling the application doenst help. Win 7 is fully up to date. I have noticed the same problem with other computers too.. it works on some but doesnt on others...

I'd suggest going over to the Beltronics forum and asking there. The Beltronics rep will probably be able to give you some advice.

Yep, they know best it's probably that you might have to plug it into another usb or download a patch but I would give them a call.

i suspect it is actually the RJ11 <-> USB plug cable that comes with the sti-r plus because once i had 3 sti-rs on the table and first only one worked with my computer. however when i took this cable from the working device and plugged into the junction box of the remaining detectors is surprisingly started to work. beltronics must have changed something in this cable on detectors with serial # greater than 1000. question is what and especially what to do now.. well lets see if i get any response i will post it here

hmm i dont have any news besides that the bel rep doens't seem to know that the problem is either.. anyway i really think its the rj11-usb plug cable that is causing the problem. so lets see that he responds to my question whether or not they changed the supplier of these cables (as they look little bit different now..)
