    Default Frequency Display Models?

Which models have the frequency counter display, and how accurate is it? Is it continuous in the Ka band, or does it just do the hot frequencies? Thanks.

    Not accurate!

    It can hop around alot!

It can be dead steady locked on a frequency!

Basicly the only cool thing is that it will allow you to know which Ka gun is being used i.e. BEE III (33.8 ), STALKER (34.7), TALON (35.5).

The actual display will puke out something like 33.680, 33.800, 33.780, 33.880 etc which would indicate a BEE III. 34.680, 34.700, 34.770 etc for STALKER. 35.500, 34.900, 35.550 etc for TALON.

It is more of entertainment value. But usefull. As far as X and K band well there is only one frequency, such as K 24.150, and you will see lots a variation from radar sources, police or door openers up and down the scale.

There is huge threads with everyone chipping in there frequencies which all revolve around the big 3 Ka bands. You can see ALL the variation in numbers.

Thanks amoney. So, is it just the X50 and the RX-65 that have it? How about the STi? Any others?

I believe others have it as well, do not know the extact list of models, check the manufactures online.

Quick check V995 and STi have it.

But does the STi have Ka narrow (Accusweep/USA) mode?

The Beltronics site tells that the Vector 995 and the STi Driver both have tech mode (frequency display) I couldn't find any info on the RX65. The Escort site does not seem to say which have tech mode.

Correction: It does show that the 8500 X50 has the frequency display, but doesn't show if any others do.

Ahhh, I just found the Beltronics Pro site. RX65 is there

    I do not think so.

As for the rx65 it is on Beltronics Pro page, don't know why the separation.

The answer seems to be that only the following have "Tech Mode":

    Bel Pro RX65
    Bel Pro RX75 Remote
    Escort 8500 X50
    Bel Vector 995
    Bel STi Driver

From the STi description on the Bel site: "Ka-band: 34.700 GHz 1300 MHz".
    That's 33.4 to 36.0, so I'd say it's got full Ka coverage.

Yes, actually they all say that, they are all capable of "wide" converage, but was not sure about STi having a "usa" mode ka narrow. Sorry if the my question was misleading but thanks for the clarification!
