Thread: STIR+ vs STIR

    Exclamation STIR+ vs STIR

If there is anyone with both of these detectors. Or if someone has one and another has the other. It would rather interesting to do a shoot out between these two beasts...

X2. I think radarrob has them both and said that the sti-r barely beats the plus.

Is there a statement anywhere from Rob on this or was it verbal?

Actually I would expect the plus to be slightly be better. There can be slight variations of sensitivity of the same model. Often times the electronic components vary in tolerances and metallurgic make up from lot to lot. That is where most likely well see slight variations from unit to unit...

It appears Rob has a (hot) STIR... I believe I have a (hot) Stir+ so it would be interesting to do a shoot out.

there are 3 kind of stiR's that will perform different on different bands

a 08 model sometimes does not have pre ka fix on it/rampup issue fixed also k band is not good but can be awesome on ka band

a 09 stiR like i have k band is frickin awesome! so is ka band

a 2011 stiR+ i have not tested really yet so i don't know of anything yet besides both my stir's are close on performance

my v1 that i just got tuned up is performing poorly and I'm getting rid of it forget the arrows I'm about performance,i got my rear view mirror for the arrow

testing your unit is the only way to know whats going on.
