    Default STi-R+ Laser False

The STi-R+ falsed on laser this afternoon. Not sure why. Nothing else alerted, not even the V1, and I didn't see any obvious LCC-equipped vehicles. The antenna is mounted next to the passenger side foglight, down low. Any ideas?

If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

Active Countermeasures: V1 3.858, Escort Redline, Beltronics STi-R+, LI Dual 7.1x CPU/8.7 Heads (front)
    Other/Backup Countermeasures: V1 3.813 (loaned to friend), Beltronics Pro RX65 M4 6.3
    Vehicle: 2002 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro
LEO Toys: Kustom Pro Laser II & III

I'll put my money on the car wash sign.

That sign has never set off my V1, or my Redline, the RX65, the X50 I used to have, or the LI for that matter. I've driven down that road a million times, just not with an STi-R+ before.

I'll have to see if it happens again in that spot.

I've had hid headlights during the day, sun reflection from a winshield, the GM Trailblazer 3rd brake less often, and just picked a single beacon strobe on an overpass with the VV1 just recently. If you want sensitivity you got to out up with a few falses.

I've picked up rear laser through through 35% rear tint on alow riding car around a tuen.

Must have been sun spots or something--my STi-R+ falsed to laser yesterday too, with no obvious sources around.

Looks like the "CLAM KING" sign to me.

Drove through there again today, no laser false. So if it was the sign, it's intermittent, or it was something else (sunspots? lol)

I would think if a sign is going to cause a laser false on any detector, it would drive my V1 nuts. And it hasn't yet.

    Better filtering.

I agree, my RedLine and ZR4's falsed to something and my LI & V1 did not.
