Highway vs Autoscan

Hey everyone,

Should I used highway or autoscan mode? I do a lot of mixed driving, 50/50 highway and city. Which is better and for roads trips should I use highway while interstates or will autoscan be good enough?

I have left mine in Highway since day 1, and over 90 percent of my driving is within the city.

depends if you have a lot of photoradar vans in the area. here in aus there are heaps, both the redflex and gatso mobile speed cameras which output a low ~2.5mW K band signal. with autoscan on there isnt a hope of picking it up unless your right next to it. highway mode is a must all the time here...

my understanding is highway or autoscan does not touch Ka band... only applies filtering on K band

depends on ur preference, before i sold my gx65, i had mine set to highway at all times for max range. i drive through the same area so i know where all the false and lockout the one i know is false.. so that didnt really effect me much. i dont know if u have gps capability on ur rd.

Highway is the most sensitive mode (no filtering). I also keep highway mode on in the city as well. Most of the time i run KA only with x and k off. We dont have x/k around here~
