Default Pre-purchase information from a current Valentine One owner?

I have a V1 with 3.892 software in my 2009 Audi S5 with Lane Assist. I was wondering how the STI-R Plus worked with a care like mine? On my V1 I had to have POP disabled in order for it to NOT false alert all the time. However after I updated to 3.892 I seem to be having similar false alerting with the newest update.

I can't take it anymore it's become more of a nuisance to have the rather great detector with all of the alerting its doing.

With the STI-R Plus would I need to disable POP and or any other features to work correctly on my car?

    Ideas?

Off the topic but.....Move you V1 to another car and see if the issue continues, that will tell you if the falses are coming from your car or a defective V1.

Both my Magnum and Plus alert to lane assist with pop off - each at differing times and it's very annoying - I can find every Q7 within a mile.

I am not sure if turning TSR on helps as I have not tried that.

It may be annoying when your driving near one of these cars with Lane Assist, try driving with a V1 and Lane Assist! I tried my V1 with TSR on & off with the same false alerts along with turning POP on & off also.

I am going to try it in my wife's Lexus to see if it give me any alerts as it was doing in my car.

    Thanks...

    Back to the subject...

I've spoken with one other Audi S5 owner that has the STI-R PLus and he said that is DOES NOT set off with the Lane Assist?

Correct, we have seen that our systems work well in Audi's with Side Assist and ACC. I believe it is because the rear facing horn of the V1, when mounted high in your cabin, picks up the side and rear facing radar from the Audi while our front mounted receiver does not. There is a thread on our Escort forum about this exact subject.

Leave POP off on our detectors. The falses from nearby cheap detectors will drive you insane.

Disable the lane assist, simple as that.

You can't disable it. Even though you can turn it OFF/ON the radars are still active.

Can you pull the fuses or unplug them? Surely it can't be that hard...

If you start unplugging the fuse or fuses you'll get tons of Check Engine Lights, everything in this car is NETWORKED together, plus the lane assist is a great safety feature I don't want to turn off.
