The Solo 2 has been replaced by the Solo 3 but other than the display there are about the same. They are battery operated and meant for guys who don't want to run a cord or wires.
I had a Solo 2. It wasn't bad on x or k band but ka band was weak. Also, instant on was poor as to save battery power the unit sleeps a lot and misses I/O shots.
If you really can't live with a power cord than its better than none but if you can, a x50 black is a way better deal.
There are much better detectors out there.
Cordless detectors are a false sense of security.
