My kid was playing around in the car and decided to plug in my 3.5mm AUX stereo cord into the headphone jack on the RX-65. After I started driving again, on start up,
I heard a faint crackle from the speaker, but no I have no audio , no matter what I do.
The tip seems longer than the mono jack from the escort headset I have. I think the jack is now busted.
I opened the case and tested the speaker with a AAA battery, and it seems good (get static on the speaker)
Now with it open, can I bypass the jack in anyway? I have access to a soldering iron and am very capable of using it. I hope the audio circuit is not fried!
(In the meantime, the Cobra is on the dashboard until this is resolved.)
