    Default SWS RX65

Has anyone ever had a SWS message on the RX65 4.5. I recieved "left lane closed ahead" and I was on a back woods road. Why in the world I had it on was beyond me, I guess it sneaked by me. Is there SWS established anywhere in the world? I'm just thinking a big waste of time

Well look at it this way, you were in back woods were there were no roads, so it was kinda of accurate, but seriously it just caught wind of some obscure radio transmission or at least it thouoght it "heard". SWS operates on some other 24.xxx frequency far away from regular K band 24.150. I will go check... "Ask Jim" ha ha.

On my Cobra I used years ago it also had SWS and it would go off for fire trucks and stuff when I lived in Raleigh. Around where I live now, I've never had it go off. Could have been the strobe alert though, I think that unit had it

they said ft worth school buses had reak K band drones... never really answered my question coz the cobra can differentiate between real K and school bus K drone

Whoa! that is not far off from K band 24.150! Although some say it does not matter, I still feel better turning it off.
